designs
enclosed
were
originally
hand
stamped

enlarged
and then
cut
in
linoleum

Others
were
just
drawn
,
while
some
were
accidental
happenings
on the
proofing
press
. In
1965
, as a
collaboration
between
its
Design
and
Education
Departments
, the
Museum
of
Modern
Art
in
New
York
arranged
for an
exhibition
of
some
of these
experiments
. At that
time
,
several
national
and
international
magazines
published
articles
about
this
project
.
Now
,
four
decades
later
, this
is
the
first
time
that a
sampling
of the
eighty
or
so
originals
is
being
