GUYMACCOY GRAPHIC ART Born in Valley Falls, Kansas, 1904. Educated at Kansas City Art Institute, Broadmoore Art Academy, Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, Art Students League, B.A. Columbia, 1941. Won several important awards, exhibited widely, is represented in several leading museums and collections. MARGARET MONTGOMERY . . . DESIGN AND ENAMELING Born in California, 1908. Education, B.A. degree Mills College, Oakland, California. M.F.A. degree Claremont Graduate School, University of Vienna, Austria. Teaching experience includes Marlborough School, Los Angeles (Art) and School for American Craftsmen, Rochester, New York (Enameling). Experience in interior decoration; designed and executed murals in churches. JOSEPH MUGNAINI PAINTING Born in Viareggio, Tuscany, Italy, 1912. Received art education Los Angeles County Art Institute. After discharge from U.S. Army Intelligence, taught at Los Angeles County Art Institute. Won several California and national awards. Exhibited extensively. Had four one-man shows. Presently scheduled with major studio to design sets for forthcoming pictures. NOEL QUINN PAINTING Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, 1915. Studied Rhode Island School of Design, Providence. Graduate work Parsons School of Fine and Applied Art, and Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Illustrator for Paramount Pictures, as well as MGM. Won many awards in watercolor painting. BENTON SCOTT . . . HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP CLASS Born in Los Angeles, 1907. Studied with Will Foster and at Grande Chaumiere, Paris. Received several awards in California. Exhibited in this country and abroad. Paintings owned by several important collectors. PIERRE SICARD PAINTING Bom in Paris, France, 1900. Studied Ecole de l'lle de France, near Paris. Had more than 20 one-man exhibits in various countries of Europe, several in the United States, including two in Los Angeles. Executed several important commissions. Recipient of awards, including the "Prix de la Ville de Paris pour Casa Velasquez" in 1930. Represented in public collections including Tours, Paris (Luxembourg Museum) and America. Numerous private collections. MARY VARTIKIAN DRAWING Born in Armenia, 1916. Studied Fresno State College, Chouinard Art Institute; also with Rico Lebrun and Henry Lee McFee. Taught life drawing at Chouinard (1944-9), Jepson Art Institute, (1949-52), Kann Institute of Art (1949-54). Exhibited widely in the U.S. 24 |
