'
World

' was
first
conceived
as a

salon
divertissement
.
It
was
always
intended

intimate
ritualistic
form
of
18th

parlour
activity
, an
elaborate

was
prepared
for
perhaps
seven
guests
, with
small

to
aid
digestion

individual
sculptures
over
a
period
of
time
.

character
has a
built-in
electronic
circuit
that
is
activated
by the
artist
, the
characters
performing
once
, and then '
dying
',
reverting
to
sculptural
objects
. This
publication
forms
biographic
cards
which
describe
a
miniature
world
made
up
of these
fictional
characters
that are
derived
from
different
historical
periods
.
Each
of the
24
cards
represents
a
different
sculpture
.

on the
verso
of
each
