debris

assemblages

objects

lake
bottom

combination
of
archaeology
,
sociology
and
art
.
Echo
Park
was the
inspiration
for
Charles
Almaraz
'
paintings
and
pastels
of
life
in that
area
,
including
many
car
crashes
and
shoot-outs
.
John
Valadez
created
life-sized
drawings
of the "
cholos
" and "
cholas
" of the
barrio
.
