Description	CROSS-CUTS (Seven Los Angeles Artists) took a diverse group of LA artists whose artwork, taken together, evoked an eccentric landscape of ephemeral beauty and fugitive time. The idea of the categorization of a group exhibition itself was taken into consideration. In this case, the filmic act of cross-cutting suggested sudden disjunctures or obvious oppositions between each part of the installation but retained the sense of a cohesive visual adventure. The work of each artist provided both a resting place for contemplation and a jumping point for the experience of the other work in the exhibition.
