Description	Dissent, Difference, and the Body Politic traced the recent search to link art, identity, and politics in the work of artists for whom the body has become a site of struggle for control of the physical, medical, and psychological self, most notably in a society that marginalizes non-white and gay and lesbian citizens as "outside" or "other." The exhibition also featured a site-specific "erasure" wall piece by Gary Simmons.
