FOREWORD
Both rhe Otis Art Inscicuce and rhe Design Division, American Ceramic Society,
are pleased ro present a competitive juried exhibition "CoUege Ceramics." It
was believed very worrhwhile to organize ao exhibition that would alford an
opportunity generally co evaluate the work-in-progress of Southern California
college-level ceramics at rills rime. And ir is very much the hope of the lnsricure
that this exhibition will be rhe Erst in a series of similar presentations in other
media on cbe college leveL
