1910-1913
. She
is
identified
by her
European
upper
class
dress
and
large
hat
of
feathers
and
flowers
.
Jose
Posada
saw
her as a
political
satire
figure
who
symbolized
the
contrast
between
the
upper
and
lower
classes
.
Over
the
years
she has
become
very
popular
,
portrayed
in
many
mediums
of
art
. She
is
also a
favorite
in
costumes
worn
by
foreigners
,
especially
in the
city
of
San
Miguel
de
Allende
,
Mexico
during
the
Dia
de
los
Muertos
as they
party
with the
living
and the
