"Both of these booklets were produced and printed at the Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper in December of 2010"--sleeve . "On the evening of Nov. 8, 2008, more than 100,000 people gathered in Chicago's Grant park to watch the Presidential election returns. The city erected several large television monitors in the park and people gathered around them. These people's reactions are illuminated by light from those televisions"--colophon, "Illuminated by the light of television." "The election of 2008 created a powerful sense of hope for many U.S. citizens. That sense of hope has evaporated"--colophon, "Isolated by the glare of media." Photography.
